The 5th installment of the "scopic measure" series introducing promising young artists' installations and other pioneering projects challenging the frontiers of art presented an installation version of the "VP3L" software developed by artist and programmer, Satoru Higa.
- July 14, 2007 - March 31, 2008
- Gallery second floor
This installation is based on "VP3L", a software for synthesizing sound by connecting objects in a virtual space using wire.
The software transforms a virtual space in its entirety into an acoustic environment, movement within which affects audio synthesis in real-time. Moving within the virtual space and operating a pre-installed sample program using a special interface set up in the exhibition space, the visitor can enjoy a feeling of floating, and at once a dynamic acoustic physical experience.
